I would have to say that I am indeed unique to the tattoo world. I started tattooing in 1999 doing my apprenticeship under the World Famous Tattoo Lee. I can’t thank him enough for giving me the opportunities that he did. I started late in the tattoo community having first served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for 21 great years. I have always enjoyed art and possessed a good eye and hand so under Lee’s guidance I decided to put them to good use. I enjoy all aspects of tattooing and I’m continually striving to progress my abilities in different tattooing styles. Probably my most favorite aspects of tattooing are doing Fine line detail, Traditional and Cover-ups. I would have to say that some mentors that I truly admire within the tattoo industry include; Tom Renshaw, Bob Tyrell, Shane O’neil, Deano Cook just to mention a few.
I’m originally from Florida but spent many years in Michigan. I Joined the Marine Corps right out of school and was stationed in Yuma Az. where I spent the next several years. It was there that I met my beautiful wife Nancy who’s continual support has allowed me to follow my ambitions and reach the success that I have. We have 2 wonderful children; Tommy and Samantha. After living all over the country and traveling the world Nancy and I decided to make Jacksonville, North Carolina our home. I’m an avid outdoorsman and dog lover.
I truly love tattooing and enjoy watching the expressions on people’s faces when they come in and experience a Unique Ink Tattoo. I have worked hard to put together the kind of tattoo studio that is truly Unique as well as a team of tattoo artists whose main goal is to follow good ethics and provide collectors with a first rate tattoo. Bitt has been tattooing professionally since 1999. After working a few shops in the Pensacola area and the southeast, he joined the Unique Ink family in July 2005. Among his favorite styles of tattooing are traditional, black and gray, and color. He possesses a talent for seeing through multiple works of art and doing background work that pulls pieces together where others have failed. He is very out going and collector oriented. Bitt works hard in consultations to collaborate closely with the customers to come up with a truly Unique tattoo. Bitt is continually working with different art mediums to further explore art and advance his abilities.
